Tom Butler

Tom studied at Swansea University and having graduated in 2000 with a 1st in Illustration, he began exploring various avenues in the commercial art world, namely children's picture book design. Tom's technique and style have evolved enormously over the years. Especially when he began introducing mixed media into work with a method of transferring photocopied material onto any surface.
This technique is integral for Tom to create his show stopping collages using a whole range of materials; in his imaginative hands a section of a crossword puzzle may become a block of flats, a wine bottle, or a church spire, and this unique approach adds intrigue, resonance and a touch of humour to every scene.
