Gorlestone Banksy

Titled Gorlestone Banksy, this work by artist Chris Ross Williamson features his original characters, Garfield Eldritch and his loyal dog, Barton Darcy. Seated together on a bench overlooking the renowned Gorleston seafront, the pair occupy a moment of quiet observation. Above them appears a stencilled intervention in the spirit of Banksy, rendered in the form of a claw machine and integrated seamlessly into the coastal setting. As with all of Williamson’s artworks, this piece is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity and a bespoke four-line poem, written specifically to complement the work. The accompanying poem reads:

On a particular bench in Gorleston
overlooking the pier and the sea
Banksy has sprayed his claw thing
that I hope won’t try & grab me
